The motion computer User Interface accesses the motion systems internal data through a
client/server concept. The concept supports remote execution of the User Interface, although
write access to motion data is only allowed for the first user.
A System Window displays general status of the motion system, while a logging window
shows logged messages of the system.
In case of a failure, an error handler window will pop up, providing detailed information on the
error code, the severity level, the error status and the time of occurrence. Furthermore a
short description of the failure is presented. For each failure additional troubleshooting
information can be requested through the on-line help system. Where appropriate, reference
is made to maintenance and troubleshooting procedures in the manuals.
Additional windows include display of IO values and communication data. IO signals can be
manually overruled to support troubleshoot and maintenance operation.
In manual mode, the system window provides the ability to startup/shut down the system and
to generate test-signals or test-patterns in degree of freedom or in actuator space.
As an example Figure 3-14 shows a typical User Interface window.
